With slick blue hair and an assortment of hairbands on his wrist, this is not your average teenager. The sleek sunglasses and candid expression show that Bryan Thorsell is not afraid to let his personality shine. Outgoing, spunky, and unpredictable are only a few words to describe Bryan’s complex yet exciting personality. First impressions of him are that he is talkative and very opinionated, and his arguments are always well-based. A huge fan of music, Bryan enjoys going to concerts that have his favorite bands headlining. To be in the crowd jumping to the raw, manic energy that the music produces is what he lives for. The message that punk rock brings to its avid listeners also applies to Bryan. He believes in the unity of all people, to fight against racism, prejudice, and hate. By teaching others of his beliefs, he makes a difference in people’s lives daily.

Spend just a few minutes with this teenager and you’ll find that he is a non-stop entertainer. Like a well-done stand up comedy, his jokes and screwball antics are always in good humor and timed perfectly. Similar to a sitcom is the best way to describe Bryan’s character; by weaving in and out of both seriousness and humor, he keeps everyone on their toes and makes his friends always want to come back for more.
