I'm going to talk about my music now. Now, my favorites.

Favorite Lead Vocalist/Lyricist: Brandon Boyd [Incubus], Del [Del the Funkee Homosapien, Deltron 3030, Lyricist for Gorillaz]
Brandon Boyd is an incredible singer and he has a wide range and a big variety of styles that he can sing. Good voice all around, goes well with the music, also my favorite songwriter. Del is one of the best fucking lyricists ever, he has rhymes and flow and it just all goes together and sounds awesome.

Favorite Guitarist: Mike Einziger [Incubus]
Runner Up(s): Tom Morello [Rage Against the Machine], That guy from Primus
Mike is another really good guitarist. Just listen to any more complicated Incubus songs and you can tell that he's really talented. And I've seen a lot of like the backstage stuff of Incubus from like, Cribs and Diary of Incubus and my Incubus DVD and he is would be an awesome guy to hang out with off stage. And he's funny. And he's white and has a fro so that makes him cool already. Tom Morello is also really really talented, and so is the Primus guitarist, but I just like Mike better.

Favorite Bassist: Matt Freeman [Rancid]
Runner Up(s): Mike Herrera [MxPx], Royce Nunley [Suicide Machines, left in 2001 after Steal this Record]
Matt Freeman is insane and if you listen to almost any Rancid you can hear the awesome, smooth bassline through each song, every time. It's awesome. About Mike Herrera...the opening riff to Theme Fiasco and Chick Magnet...'nuff said. Though Suicide Machines post-production kind of sucks because they make the guitars too loud, the bassline by Nunley is really good, similar to Matt Freeman but not quite the same.

Favorite Drummer(s): Travis Barker [Formerly in Aquabats, Currently in: Blink 182, Box Car Racer, The Transplants], Yuri [MxPx], Derek Grant [Suicide Machines, played on Destruction by Definition and Battle Hymns]
Travis Barker is probably the best-known drummer in the entire music industry but he deserves it because he has the skills to pay the bills. Yuri is a perfect match for MxPx as he sets the beat and tone perfectly with their fast pace, "upbeat", if you will, speed. Derek Grant is another one of my favorites, and just listen to the drumming of the first two SM CDs and compare it to the two latest and the latest have been lacking in that department, he did some great stuff for that band.

Best Use of a String Section in a Song:
Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight
AFI - Morning Star
Suicide Machines - I Never Promised you a Rose Garden

Tonight, Tonight is one of my all time favorite songs (and music video) and the way they set up the string section made everything perfect. Great band, great song. Actually, Morning Star probably has the most perfect use of a string section of the songs because the violins really set the mood on every different part of each song and it's great. I Never Promised You a Rose Garden is just cool and you should listen to it now.

People who know me know that I listen to some random music. My musical interests range from pretty much every single music out there. I listen to a lot of, what I said earlier, "niche" music, which is music that most people hate and don't like to listen to, like punk, or trance or something. See? I like punk and trance a lot. I also like a lot of stuff that's mainstream. And some rap, but definitely almost nothing that they play on the radio or MTV...that's knee-deep in shit, well most of it is. But if you explore enough you might find some hip-hop that can suit your needs, underground rap is infinitely times better than any mainstream bling-blinger. But sometimes you can't just hate something because of the way they are categorized in. I used to hate rap and was like oooh man this is the worst but when you do find some good hip-hop it'll be a new awakening almost. That there can be good musicians in every field.

Which in a way relates to life itself. When we get first impressions of people we always seem to categorize them as "these people only do this, hang out with these people, and think these people are cool" but when you really get to know them you can seemingly find someone who can later become a real friend. And the moral of the story is to always give people a chance, that people aren't who they think they are on the outside, and that you shouldn't categorize anyone or judge anyone about their personalities just by their race, looks, the way they dress, or the people they are around. Anything goes, anything is possible.
